William X Hasse, who was horn in 'La3*e county 61 years ago and who refcrded irr Hammond for 35 years, died at three o’clock Saturday afternoon at this home, 275 State street, Hammond.Mr. Hasse was born November 30, 1868, at Klaasville in the south part of Hake county. He went to Chicago in 1886 and after 17 years in business there, he returned to Hammond. He was always a strong advocate of city improvements.Surviving are the wife, Mary, two sons, William A. Hasse of Calumet City and Edward W. Hasse of Hammond, and a daughter, Adelyn M. Hasse of Hammond. He also leaves two brothers, Arnold Schulte and Charles B. Hasse of Hammond and five sisters, Mrs. John Gettler, Mrs. Charles Hong and Miss Pauline Hasse of Hammond, Mrs. Frank Hughes of Detroit and Mrs. Barth of Chicago.The body now lies in state at the home of William A. Hasse, 128 For-estdale park, Calumet City. The funeral will be held from the son’s home at 8:30 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery with Under-tJss* Emmgidiss iasbaisft
