Honorable Sir—We take this op portunity in writing you asking the members of the Honorable City Coun cil if they are aware of the fact that the new public library now un der construction is being erected by non-union labor and also many non residents of this city We also wish to inform you that Unless members of labor organiza tions who are taxpayers and residents of the city of Detroit are not em ployed on same, that we will be but bound to vote against any further appropriations when asked for by the library commission to continue on in the completion of this work. Trusting you will give this matter your immediate attention, as we be lieve it is very important, and that you can straighten this trouble out, you so desire to use your influence to that end.
