James Smith pf Keutuckyand some other young persons, who weresaid to be confined by them? against their inclination. Committee* were uppocntedon both sWts to confer on the matters fn dispute. The conference'being bad if Wat reported by the Shakers that the children were m Lebanon jail with their fother, (which was not the case) and finding none who wished to b vberatedy the multitude dispersed, after informing them, that if their pestiferous society was not broken up by tlie first of November neat they might expect Jo be visited again. In jusdee to the persona concerned in tbts transaction it ought to be observed, that ru, acts of violence were committed either on the persons, or property of the Shakers,
