Yet Convicted of Murder GALLIPOLIS.O, Sept. 13. UP—Sylvester Smith, 40, a World war veteran, was convict ed in common pleas court today of second degree murder in the fatal hearing of John J. Jones, 30, a former justice of the peace, on last July 31. Sentence was not passed immediately.
