DOUGLAS, Sept. 14.—Harry Wood, who left two weeks ago for Seattle nn answer to a cablegram announc ng the severe illness of his mother, has cabled his wife of the death of his mother which occurred Tuesday of this week. He also cabled his resignation to the Treadwell Com pany, by whom he has been em ployed for the past ten years. Owing to the poor health of his aged father i n Seattle, Mr. Wood wil remain there and his wife and little daugh ter will join him, leaving here as son as they can dispens of their effects.
