FORMER RESIDENT DIESJT ODLFPORTMayor Donald has received a letter from Dr. A. U Morris, of Gulfport, which conveys the sad Intelligence of the death of Mr. T. 8. Jones, who resided for many years In this city, which occurred In the hospital In Gulfport.Mr. Jones was 68 years of age, and served with credit in the Confederate army during the Civil War. being wounded at the battle of Antletam. He died as has done many another poor old Confederate veteran, among strangers and alone.
