Jackson, near that city, on the 99lh ult. Mo], Greer was a native of Tennessee, whither he had gone on a visit at the lime of his death. The Union adds: “He removed to the Territory ofArkans, and upon the organization of that Territory as a State, he was elected Secretary ef State which office he held twinterroptedly op to the rimo of his 'death.
