Both Pilots Blamed In Air Collision; WASHINGTON (AP) - The National Transportation Safely; Board has blamed an airplane collision over Saeaton, Ariz., in which five persons were killed last Dec. 28 on the failure of each pilot to see the other plane.. .George Gomez, 68, operatorof the -Casa Grande airport, and his two passengers, Michael Norman, 21), and Ms wife, Judith, 22, Altadena, Calif., died when a plane piloted by Gomez collided with one piloted by William O’Conner, 48, Vestal Parkway, N.Y. O’Connor and his wife,Thelma, 47, also died.The board said both planes were in normal flight, under the Control of. no air traffic agency and took, no evasive action prior to the collision.In each case, its report said, the pilot. “failed to see and avoid the other aircraft.”
