MITCHELL WANTS GRAVELED ROAD TO BRIDGE AT WHEELERWith the location at Wheeler of the Rosebud bride over the Missouri river Mitchell business men appeared united on the proposition that they should use all their influence to get a direct graded and graveled road to Wheeler from Mitchell, thus opening a direct route to the fine territory in the Rosebud region which has hitherto been almost separated from other points in South Dakota. A studiy of the map reveals that the distance from Mitchell to Wheeler, by way of Armour and Geddes, is only 78 miles, so that when the bridge is constructed across the Missouri river at that point, most of the towns of the Rosebud are as near Mitchell as Chamberlain is. Since Mitchell is the largest city within that distance from the Rosebud, the Com Palace city will be in position I to work constructively to promote trade and business relations with the I Rosebud.
