COURT ADJUDGED RUSSELL INSANEThe Cain Russell murder ease was disposed of Tuesday in the district court when Judge Anderson, after hearing expert evidence, pronounced the Birmingham wife murderer insane and ordered him committed t o the ward for the criminal insane at the Anamosa reformatory.This investigation into Russell’s insanity came as a result of an agreement between the prosecuting attorney and H. B. Sloan, attorney for Russell. The hearing was conducted before a jury, but Judge Anderson considered the evidence so overwhelming in support of the insanity claim that he took the case from the jury and rendered the decision as above given.The investigation was started in court Monday, when the following jury was impanelled: George Randolph, Keosauqua J. S. Graham, SelmaF. E. Holland, MiltonC. N. Groves, Milton George McElroy, StockportG. E. McGrew, Selma W. L. Davis, MiltonJ. E. Bonnett, Birmingham Frank Howard, Leando Henry Barton, Mt. Sterling W. A. Vehslage, Mt. SterlingD. M. Silver, Cantril During the hearing expert tes-timoney was offered by Doctors Craig, Russell, and G. R. Neff of Farmington. Drs. Applegate and Cresap were prevented from attending the court hearing, but Doctors Craig and Russell were permitted to testify as to what they said of the examination on Sunday.Russell was taken to Anamosa Tuesday evening, being accompanied by Deputy Sheriff Kinsey and W.
