I2.-Last week's attendance at ilie exposition reached the loo,-00y mark, and while the exact attendance on Nashville day Is not yet obtainable, conservative estimates place it r.t not less than 10,000. Tuesday is Shelby county. Mtmphis nnd Cotton day, end the people of Memphis have arranged a splendid pro- 1 gramme. The attendance from^that city end adjacent counties will be large. Governor Taylor and United Stotea Senator Carnes will speak: a musical reception, under charge of .Mrs. S. T. Crimes, wHl be given, asalsled bv the musicians of Memphis, and the Neelev zouaves will drill. Other military compaulea from Memphis will attend.Wednrsrtny the old-time telegraphers will meet, and during their three days’ convention will hold n reunion at the exposition. Wednesday also will be the iirst day of the convention of the National Association of Colored Women. Governor Taylor, Mayor McCarthy and Mrs. Van Lear Kirkman, president of the svoman’s department, will deliver addresses lu tho negro building Wednesday everting. The convention continues three days,Norfolk (Vo.) day will be observed on Wednesday, and a grand organ recital will be given in the auditorium by Prof/Anton F. IConer of Norfolk. The arrangements are in charge of the Seaboard Air Line and Nashville, Chattanooga and Southern railways. Many special events ore booked’for Saturday. It is Arkansas day, and Governor Davis end Senator Jones will speak In the uuditbriuui. In the a flex noon the women commissioners of Arkansas will execute a programme III the woman’s building, arranged by Mrs. Rufus J. Poll. Many distinguished citizens will attend. This is also Children's day. A special programme will be carried out for their diversion. A special excursion of more Ihnn 1000 operatives of the ljoutsvlllr and Nashville shops at Howell, Ind., will come on Saturday.•
