Excursionrates are offered by the D. L. W. railroad.SC The Evangelical Lutheran church of this place was opened last Sunday morning. Rev. E. A. Sharretts preached in the morning and Rev. J. It. Dimm in the evening.All persons, whether friends to the movement or not. are respectfully invited to attend the meeting to be held in Millville, on Thursday evening, September L8, and heai the question of the temperance constitutional amendmendiscussed.A few months ago the M. E. congregation decided to re-pair and remodel their church building in this place. A building committee was appointed and the work commenced at once. It would require too much space to enumerate all the improvements, but notable among them was the imitation stained glass windows, new pulpit furniture and a railed dais i n the right hand corner near the pulpit for the use of the choir, which formerly occupied the ^allery. In the Sunday school room new seats were put m with a chair placed in such a manner as to allow teachers to face their classes. The partitions separating the infant class from the others, are made with sliding panels toallow the whole to be made into one room if desired Steam heating apparatus has been put in, and the enure building newly painted and frescoed, and the brick work The total cost was about $4,000. It was rededicaUd on Sunday last, at which time about three-fourths of the amount wassubscribed. , .
