WiUisms.—Marshal Turner, assisted by two United States deputy marshals, claim to have arrested iu Glay, Tallapoosa and other oouuties the following illioit distillers : Gabriel Ingram, Hampton Patterson, Wm. C. Orr, John Greens, Montgomery Scroggins and Wm. J. White, of Glay county, and J. T. Wilkinson, of Talladega.—In Olay county, a few days ago, a murder was oommitted, and a man by the name of Gorham waa arrested on suspicion. It appears that Gorham’s brother-in-law and himself had some misunderstanding, and the latter induced the wife of Gorham to leave him. A few days thereafter the brother-in-law was found murdered. The evidenoe was wholly dr-oumetantial, but wen very strong, and pointed to Gorham as the slayer. He was tried at Ashland last weak. Governor Persons and Hon. Taol Bradford defended him, and the jury disagreed, being nine for oonviotion end three for eoquiltal.Till! WVirjiw mirmm
