By JERRY WAGGONER Eagle Sports Editor Texas AM opened its 1971 football season gambling and when the opening game was finished, the Aggies learned they were the only player in the game. The cards, stacked against Wichita State through a tragic plane crash last year which took the lives of 13 players, remained stacked against it in Saturday night’s game and the Shockers simply were tremendously outmanned by the Aggies. When the final gun sounded the Aggies had done last year’s game one better, winning by 41-7 as compared to last season’s 41- 14 massacre. Coach Gene Stallings can not be blamed for running the score up. He used 70 players in the contest, a win which broke a nine game Aggie losing streak and extended Wichita State’s winless skein to 10 games.
