OBITUARYJAined Hume Martin, a pioneer resident of (bid vicinity, died suddenly at hid home on Park avenue, Yale, at 8.00 o'clock Monday morning Sept 0. 1918. Cause of death heart trouble, lie had been in poor health for several yearn.Mr. Martin was born at Milton, Out Aug. 20, 18*1*1. Came to Michigan in 18G, settling on and clearing a farm iu Speaker township, Sanilac county, three miles north and one mile east of Yale, where ho lived until 1906, when, on accouut of ill health he was forced to give up farming, at which time he moved with his family to ibis city where they have since residod.He was married forty one years ago to Cordelia Worden, of Speaker township. The widow and eleven children survive, live eons. Robert, Guy and Milton, of Klndersley, Sask.; Charles, of Yale, and John, who Is serving In the Canadian army; six daughters, Mrs Tlioa. Carles and Mrs. Karl Hose, of Yale; Mrs. Fred Kussrow, of Cros-well; Ethel, of Hancock; 11 axel and Evelyn, at home.The funeral services were held this i( Thursday! afternoon from the home, and were conducted by W. II. Palmer, ilririai Iu Kluiwood cemetery.Mr. Martin has a large circle of friends and acquaintances, all of whom join with the Expositor in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
