It is found to be not only too light but too slow, and Mr. Hunt wants a machine that will not only do the work but do it rapidly. He has built quite a number of ditching machines of his own and knows what is to be expected. Operations have been suspended for several i weeks as a consequence of the breakdown of the machine.W, 0. Gilmore, Carotine A. Ingham, and Emily C. Dodge, of Algona. Miss Robbins’ lecture on Thursday evening on “Life in Manilla” pleased a large and attentive audience. She also spoke at the unionmeeting in the M. E. church Sundayevening, at the close of which the A gona Union received some new mem bers.
