Hinshaw. The testimony of Dr. Morrison was terribly hard on die story of the defendant, and White’s evidence did him no good—that brought out by the prosecution, that is. White is also a witness for the defense, and the state caused more talk by using him, making the third witness for the defense used by the state. The state gives every assurance of keeping up the pace it has started with for a week longer. The trial will last five weeks beyond a doubt. Then she heard Hinshaw cry: “Oh, oh,” and saw him coming toward her. was a light night and she had a plain view of the south, but saw no one running away. When Hinshaw fell she went to him. The accused said he was bleeding to death and asked for a doctor. He said: “Thurza was shot in bed, shesaid so.” The witness heard defendant say that his wife jumped from bed and said: “Will, I’m shot. Did you do it?”Hinshaw came to her house during the grand jury investigation and told her not to get excited. Nettie Mays, who belonged to. Hinshaw’s church, was awakened by \hearing the minister cry: “Why don’t some one coine, I’m murdered!” She went to him and he said: “Nettie, youhave come too late. I’m cut and Bhot all to pieces. Thurza is shot.” The witness helped carry Hinshaw into the house.
