- WS9\OBITUARY.ELIZABETH THORN.DIED:—At the residence of her son, Alfred, in Grove township, Humboldt county, Iowa, on Hunday, September 1st, 1889, Mrs. Elizabeth Thorn, relic; of John Thorn, aged 78 years, 4 months, and 27 days.Elizabeth Thorn, or Mother Thorn as | she was famitliarly known, was born in Denigal, Hutler county, Pennsylvania, April 5th, 1811. She moved to Iowa with her husband in 18(18 and has lived in Kossuth and Humboldt counties ever since. H«*r husband died at Irvington, December 51st, 1875, aged Gi years, since, which time she has lived with her chil* dren in Grove township in this county. Hhe leaves four sons and one daughter and numerous grand children and was respected by all who knew her. Rev* Father Foster officiated at the funeral which occurred at the house on Monday, September 2d and the remains were duly deposited in Union Cemetery near Humboldt.
