Death took another former Wichita area resident when Thomas C. Ritchie passed away Aug. 30th at the Bayard Nursing Home. Tom who was nearly 88 vears old lived in Seeley township many years and it was here he and his late wife Estella raised their two children Willard and Imogene Wright who lives in Calif. After retiring from his farm they moved to Perry where they were living when Mrs. Ritchie passed away. He has been living at the Bayard Nursing home the past two years. Many from the Wichita area attended the funeral services Friday a.m. at the United Methodist church in Gutbrie Center. Clergymen were Rev. A. Keith Hauser and Rev. Milton Kinny. Darwin Jorgensen was soloist and Casket Bearers were Leonard Tallman, A1 Jorgensen, Willard Kesselring, DonaldBetts, Lester Jorgensen and IvylMcCool. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guthrie Center.
