County football fans shhould be able to get a good line on the re spective merits of Jenner-Bos well and Forbes when the two clubs meet on the Golden Jets field at 2 p.m. this afternoon. Jenner-Boswell’s Bears are among the pre season favorites in the County B League but Forbes sports eight starting let termen including fullback Rick Ott who was all-county last year. Forbes head coach, Dave Maize says of his team, “‘over all it’s a young club and lacks game experience. However this team probably shows more de sire and spirit than I’ve seen in quite sometime. We have to depend on this.” Bears Head Coach Ron Dibernio, Bears head coach, is entering his second year at the helm. He feels his team has a good nucleus but cautions that “we have no depth at all.” It is precisely in depth where Boswell has been working the hardest. The Bears coach reports that his boys are working hard and are enthusiastic. ‘‘Barring injur ies, we'll be right there,” Di bebunio says. Jenner Boswell will run from the wings and throw enough to keep the oppo sition off balance. Forbes Lettermen Lettermen starters for Forbes are 175 pound, junior left end, Tom McDowell, left guard How ard Peterman, a 140 ib. senior, 200 pound right guard Robert T. Kalaha, senior: junior right tackle Jerry Kroyle, 220 pounds; 160 Ib. quarterback, Jack Sotos ky, junior; left half, 150 Ib. sen ior Larry Berkebile; right half Ron Koontz, 130 Ib. senior; and Ott who is a 175 pound junior. Berkebile and Ott are two-year lettermen. Other Forbes starters are George Zolla, junior5 pound er at right end; 150 10. sopho more left tackle Austin Mostel er; and center Marvin Shaffer , 160 lb. junior. Bears starting lettermen in clude: senior end Greg Knupp, 140 lb.; tackle Rodny Baldwin, 167 lb. senior; tackle Andy May ak, 160 lb. senior, 167 lb. guard Don Pugh, a junior; quarter back Wally Blucas, 170 lb sen ior; halfback Mike Bittner, 155 lb. senior; senior halfback Joe Corden, 170 lb.; and either Joe Caola, 159 lb. senior or 195 lb. junior Dave Cordin at fullback. Roswell Starters Rounding out the Sswell start ers are Mike Blucas, 153 lb. sen ior center, guard Ted Legarski, 147 lb. senior; and either Ralph Zorn, 160 lb. sophomore or Ed Shields, 160 lb. junior at the other end post. Scheduled to see a lot of ac tion for the Bears are junior tackle Tom Smally, senior guard Roy Johnson, sophomore tackle Dick Stephens, junior center Tim Hamel, junior quar terback Joe Phillips, sopho more quarterback Dennis Cola, junior halfback Ray Ashe, and senior halfback Tom Mayak. Halfback Jay Miller, junior, will see a lot of action on de fense. Other members of the squad are ends Craig Bittner sophomore, and Dave Bailey, junior halfback Mike Pelesky sophomore; tackles Merrill Mos teller, sophomore and junior John Wozjarowski; and half backs Eddie Thomas and Mike Tastuch, both juniors. Forbes Coach Maize After his starters, Forbes coach Meize lists halfback Lar ry Rader, tackle David Shauks and halfback Raymond Lohr, all seniors. Juniors include guard Ed Custer, end Don Jandilo, halfback Lynn Berkebile and fullback Mark Walker. His sophomores are quarter back Doug Crowle, center Scott Lohr, end Joe Jurgedich, center Ron Whisker, halfback Rick Stetler, end Jim Weir, fullback Rick Shaffer, guard Harry Gear hart and end Stan Lebda. Fresh men include tackle Ted Hagens, halfback Tom Jones, tackle Jim Jurgevich, guard Carey Kim mel, halfback Steve Corden, and halfback Cary Armogost.
