Shirley Ovadia and Stanley Barer MarryMRS. STANLEY II. BARER—Walters StudioShirley Ovadia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac A. Ovadia, became the bride of Stanley Harris Barer on August 26, at Temple Do Hirsch. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. David S. Barer of Walla Walla, Washington.The bride chose a gown of ivory peau de soie with a pearl and lace bodice, bell skirt and court train. She carried her mother’s bible with orchids and stephanotis.Mrs. Frederick Goldberg was her sister’s matron of honor and Beryl Barer was his brother’s best man. The bridal party also included Susan Mark, Janice Goldberg, Pat Ray, Susan Silver, Roberta Meltzer and Claudia Zarkin who served as bridesmaids, and Frederick M. Goldberg, Hank Tern pieman, David Zarkin, Arnold Barer, Harvey Fuson, Alan Goldberg and Albert Ovadia, brother of the bride, who were ushers.Following a reception at the Benjamin Franklin Hotel, the couple left for a honeymoon trip to California and Las Vegas. They will reside in Seattle.Both attend the University of Washington where she is affiliated with Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority and he with Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity.
