Aldrich and Mr. John T. Tail occurred at the residence of Mm. C. B. Aldrich, Fifth avenue, Wednesday morning, September 9th, 189L T^e ceremony was performed by Rev. Asbury Caldwell, assisted by Rev. A. Whitman or the First Baptist church. Rev. Mr. ChlweLl and the bride were child hood friends and from the date of his theological studies it had been arranged that be should perform the ceremony when Miss Adelaide got married.The bride was attired in virgin white with sweeping veil and delicate laces, she carried a boquet of roses and sweetwhite flowers surrounding and was attended by a page in waiting, Master George Stuffier, carrying flowers.Mr. Tait is a carpenter and has just completed a comfortable house, corner Center mid Division streets, where the happy couple will reside.Miss Aldrich is a lady of literary and artistic tastes and is a great favorite in Joliet society.Among the members of the family and immediate friends in attendance were Major and Mrs. R. J. Roylan, of Jackson's Grove, the venerable grand parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. Stuffier, Mrs. Lavinia Bugbea, of Racine, Wis.. Mrs. Albert E, Noel, Miss Jane Brown, Mrs. A. Whitman, Mrs. Wm. McOwan, Mias Minnie Bennett and others.The presents were silverware, china, paintings, fancy articles, etc.The wedding breakfast prepared under the care of Mrs. Aldrich was choice and complete in every detail.Mr. and Mrs. Tait wili begin housekeeping at once.
