THE NOTORIOUS “STORMY” JORDAN.He Is Again In the Hands of the taw andlikely to Go to Prison.Ottumwa, la., Sept. 8.—“Stormy Jordan, the most notorious and defiant saloonkeeper in the state, was arrested. He has been openly selling liquor since the original package law went into effect, excusing his action by declaring that there were no laws against theselling of liquor in force. “Stormy” sacrificed a fortune fighting tto law and at last nis saloon, over theie prohibitorydoor of which the legend “The Road to ell” was always kept conspicuouslypainted, was closed ana fines aggregating $0,000, as well as imprisonment sentence of one year were on record against Jordan. On making a sworn promise to quit business the league secured his pardon from Governor Larrabee, conditioned upon his forever refraining from liquor selling in Iowa. The probabilities are that “Stormy” will now go to jail and the enforcement league declares that he will be kept there.
