NfKro Mufirage*It is«*ertainly the purpose of the more advanced and most active leaders of the radical party to force negro suffrage upon the loyal States as well as upou the South. Sumner, Wendell Phillips and some others do not hesitate to avow that. As soon as the strong arm of central power shall have finished the work of Africanizing the South, then these revolutionists will insist that the same power be applied to force negro suffrage upon the loyal States, whether the people wish it or not. It remains to be seen how lar these crazy destructives can go. it may be that the Republican party will go with them to any length In overriding the Constitution, common sense and everything else; but there are 6ome indications of a split in the party. The views of Seuator Trumbull, as published in a Chicago paper, show that he does not Indorse the Sumner negro programme with regard to the loyal States. Mr. Trumbull is one of the mo^t powerful men of his party, and very Radical in many respects, but he can not swallow quite such a Urge revolutionary dose. We are inclined to believe from the views of this leading Senator, which are ably expressed, tbat a reaction and a split will take place in the Republican party on t he negro question. The more sensible aud conservative begin to think that nlggtr fanaticism has been carried quite far enough, or too lar. The sooner this reaction comes the better for the peace and welfare of the country, North aud South. —y. r. Herald.
