I he Mayor of this city communicates to the public,that the African Society y touch-* ed with the diftrefles which arife from the prefent dangerous tiiforder, have volnnta-rily undertaken to furiiiih Nurfes to attend the afHicied, and that by applying to Abla-iom Jones, and \V illiam Gray, both members of that fuciety, they may be fupplied.For the Nurfmgof the Sick and burial of ^ the Dead-As it is a time of great diftrefs in this city, many people of the Black colour, under a grateful remembrance of the favours received from the white inhabitants, haveagreed to affilt them as fur as in their power for nwrfiug of the fick, and burial of the dead ; application made for either of the above purpofes to Abfalom Jones, living in South f'hird fireet, a hrtie below Stamper’s alley. No. 165, or to Richard Allen, in Spruce ftreet between fourth anti Fifth fireets, No. 150, who have a knowledge or the nurfes, and keep horfes and carriages for taking the dead to the burial ground.AbfaJom Jones.Richard Alien.
