A 24-year-old Hampshire County, W. Vaman was killed Thursday evening when the mo torcycle he was operating ran into the back of a wagon along Route 259, 26/10 miles south of Yellow Spring, in eastern Hamp shire County. Clarence E. ‘Tinker’ Brill, of General Delivery, Yellow Spr ing, was pronounced dead on arrival at Winchester, Va. Me morial Hospital. The mishap occurred at 8:10 p.m., and Wardensville, W. Va. Rescue Squad was called at 8:17 p.m. to transport the young man from the scene. Trooper E. E. Bolyard of the Romney detachment of the West Virginia State Police, in vestigated and reported Ralph M. Spaid, 40, of General De livery, Lehew, W. Va., also in eastern Hampshire County, was northbound on Route 259, and was driving a farm tractor pulling a wagon, loaded with corn fodder. Brill was also northbound on Route 259 on a 1972 Honda 350 motorcycle, when he ran into the back of Spaid’s wagon. The motorcycle was demolished, Bolyard said. At the time the mishap oc curred another driver was trav eling north on Route 259 and witnessed the mishap, Bolyard stated. Spaid was charged by Bolyard with illegally operating a farm vehicle after sunset. Born May 18, 1959 in Win chester, Mr. Brill was a son of Mrs. Myrtle (Pennington) Brill, with whom he resided, and the late Marvin W. Brill. He was a 1978 graduate of (Continued on Page 20)
