Services Held for L V. RunyanL. V. Runyan, 80, long-time superintendent of the Sabino School, died Tuesday, at 1 1 p. m, in the Glen-Mor Home, in Thomosville, Go , where he had been for the past three weeks. He formerly resided at 179 W. Elm St., and hod been in failing health for several months. His w'ife, Ramona Chatterton Runyan, to whom he was married September 4, 1920, died April 24, 1963.Mr. Runyan was bom October 31, 1894, near Mt. Orab, the son of George and Sarah Belle Hockman Runyan. He hod served os superintendent of the Sobioa School from 1 928 to I960. Prior to that time he served as assistant superintendent of the Clinton County Schools; superintendent of the Kingman School, principal at Hamersville and Mt. Orab schools, and was active in Dollars for Scholors,He was o graduate of Mt. Orab High School and Wilmington College and received his moster's degree from the University of Cincinnati.A World War 1 veteran, he was a member of the Sabina United Methodist Church; New Burlington Order of Eastern Star; retired teachers association, a charter member of the Sabina Lion Club and a 50-year member of the FAM Lodge Na 29 of Williamsburg, Mr. Runyon was instrumental in naming Sabmo the Eden of Ohio.Surviving one a daughter, Mrs. Vemodme (W.L.) Rockwell of Thomosville, Go.; a son, Lorry Runyan of Sabino; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mildred (G.W.) Ad ames of Mt. Orab.A son, Donald is deceased-Services were held Saturday at 11 a. m. at Littleton Funeral Home. Burial was in Sa-b»na Cemetery.Rev. Lester Watts officiated Mrs. Robert Walker was the organist. Pallbearers were Jack Hines, Bill Bailey, Beryl Carter. Marvin Locklear, David Huffman Elbie Flint, Barth Little-an and Walter Nichols. Honorary pallbearers were William Myers, John Gano, Clifford Camp, Homer Fannon, Carlton Btnkley, Donald Davis, Joe Wiggins Willard Henry, Maynard E. Moore, Chester Ledforo and Sam Wilson Jr.* * #
