W. F. Keith started Tuesday of this week for Alabama, where he expects to move this year or next. Mrs. Mary Cass and two grand children, John and Elizabeth, left for Princeton Monday where the chil dren are attending High school. Asa Julian is now visiting his brother, Francis, in Dakota, Harding Piper is having a con crete floor put in his feed yard. M. Doran, long a subscriber to the Bureau County Tribune, and owner of two fine farms in Ohio township, goes to the fair with his family in his fine automobile. Mr. Doran be ing somewhat tired and retired, his son Frank is chief engineer in run ning the machine. A. L. Piper runs his own fine auto and with his estimable wife speeds in comfort and glee to see the at tractions of the best county fair in the state. Mrs. Piper is well edu cated and like her husband reads the Bureau County Tribune, which has in Ohio, the smartest little place in the state, a wide circulation. Politically the Tribune is the safest paper for the people to read published in the county. John Tooey has finally got done threshing, Messrs. Grant doing the work, 3y the way, Mr. Tooey and his estimable wife, nee Eila Carson, have some four smart boys, all with Trish blood in their veins, for their father and mother are Irish and as we have neighbored so much with this splendid nationality of people, their great men, their smart say ings and noble deeds, their virtues and traits of character that so far as our experience goes we delight to honor the Irish as the most humane and liberty loving of all the nations of our great world. In war we have the “Irish Brigade;” in public weal “Patrick Henry;’’ for the highest ideals “‘Emmet will live forever; for an ideal home, our Irish neigh bors. There are so many new matters transpiring every day in this bright little town we can hardly write of all so we will defer till another time mention of more. While in Princeton one day last week we had the pleasure of meet ing “Wayside” one of the more capa ble of the staff of correspondents of the Bureau county press. ‘“Way side will do to meet anywhere, on the street or at the dinner table, or by day or at night, alone or in a crowd, for he is always genial, en tertaining, has something bright to say and an all around first rate man. No better paper leaves the press adorned in richer brightness than the one Wayside presents to the public. Hear ye him! We may move to near the gulf and if we do and the Tribune wants an alligator we will try and send one. One of the family is there now among orange groves, rivers of fish, sweet potato fields, oyster beds, warm weather and great land sto ries. Dix. ~ — am MINERAL, Miss Margaret Reisen of Arling ton, commenced her fall term of school Sept. 6, in the Mumpford dis trict. Miss Ethel Hodgett has returned from a visit with friends in Geneseo. The schools throughout the town ship commenced Sept. 6, Miss Bessie McMahon of Manlius, is visiting with friends in this vicin ity. Miss Frank of Annawan, was a Mineral caller Saturday. Miss Addie Lotenburg has return ed from St. Francis hospital at Ke wanee where she underwent an oper ation, and is getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gudgell were out of town visitors Sunday in their auto. Mrs. Mary Kelly of New York City, was the guest of Miss Alyce Van Vel ter. A delightful lawn party was given at the home of Sam Hodgett Friday evening complimentary to a visiting friend from Geneseo.
