Elijah Boswell is one of the oldest inhabitants of our county, and no man in the county has for so many years borne a more honorable name. Through all his long life his name has been a syn-onyme of honesty and integrity. .During such a life it is natural to suppose that he has attracted to himself a host of friends, who vie with each other to do him reverence. Tuesday the 8th inst., Mr. Boswell reached the 80th mile stone in the journey of life and the desire of his friends to do him rever-e ice, culminated in the determination to prepare for him a huge dinner and have as many of his relatiyes and friendsspend the day with him as possible.Preparations were made for a grand time by scores of people, but the hardirains Tuesday, compeled many to stay%i a-vay,though quite a^number braved the storm and others came in the alternoon. Enough were present or sent their regrets to t'.ake Mr. Boswell fully realize in what V.igh esteerae h is held by all who know him.
