Sgt. Lawrence Bourrie Has Furlough The turn of the season has no effect on entertaining for service men, apparently. With the com ing of fall there has been as much enthusiasm as ever for such af fairs. This week one of the wo men so honored has been Sgt. Lawrence Bourrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Bourrie, 725 Mor gan street. Sgt. Bourrie is stationed at Low ry Field, Colo., where he is a instructor in aerial photography. He arrived home unexpectedly last Wednesday on a 14-day furlough. Last week Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Bourrie entertained for him at a family dinner party at their home. On Labor day he was guest at t, dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Claude Allen, Aurora. Mr Allen and Sgt. Bourke were classmates in grade school and at Joliet Town ship High school and Junior col lege. This evening Miss Elizabeth Roberts will be hostess to a group of friends at a party in her Plain field home for Sgt. Bourrie. Yes terday Sgt. Bourrie and his mother went into Chicago to spend the day. There they visited friends. On Sunday Sgt. Bourrie will leave on the Rocket to resume his duties at Lowry Field.
