Federal Agents Raid House After Weeks of Work. After months of undercover work and trailing, Federal narcotic agents, late Thursday, arrested three Chinese who, they charge, are responsible for wholesale distribution of smoking opium in Cincinnati. The prisoners registered as Chen Coong, alias Harry Lee, alias Harry Yee, 30, 1154 Harrison avenue; Yee Quot Jung, alias Kwan Cheong, 64, 42 East Court street, and Yee Jung, 72, 23 East Sixth street. All were charged with purchase, sale and pos session of narcotics. They pleaded not guilty when arraigned before United States Commissioner William P. Hohmann. Hearings were set for September 15 and the defendants re moved to the Hamilton County Jail in default of $5,000 bond each. Agents Lexy Ford, Robert Jacobs, John H. Van Treel and Joseph M. Jacobs, who made the arrests, allege that Yee Quon Jung is a “big shot” in the opium traffic. Approximately 1,000 grains of smoking opium, in ad dition to pipe, bowl, lamp and cook ing needle, was found at the East Court street address. The agents also alleged that in Yee Quon Jung's possesion they found evidence that in 1924 he had deserted from the Chinese crew of the Pres ident Jackson, a merchant marine, and subsequently entered the United States. The case against the trio has been the result of months of undercover work, during which time, it was al leged, “bugs” of opium were made from each of the defendants. Marked money was found In the possession of Yee Quan Jung and Coong when they were taken into cus tody, it was said: The address on East Court street was raided by the police, Saturday night. Two Chinese were arrested and a quantity of smoking opium seized The men were dismissed in Police Court because of lack of evidence
