Frank H. Irish, Well Known MichiganHotel Man, Expires at Grand Rapids.Yesterday’s issue of the National Hotel Re porter announced the serious illness of Frank H. Irish from blood poisoning, and now we have to chronicle his death, which occurred at the Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, last Saturday afternoon.Several weeks ago, while attending to his duties as manager of the Club House at Harbor Point, Mich., Mr. Irish injured his foot. Blood poisoning set in and he became very ill, finally being rushed to Grand Rapids in a private car, in a final effort to save his life. He was an inmate of the hospital only two or three days, however, when death ensued.Frank H. Irish was one of the best known and best liked hotel men in Michigan. For years he was associated with his father, the late H. D. Irish, in the proprietorship and management of the Cutler House at Grand Haven, the Livingston and Sweet’s Hotel in Grand Rapids, and others. Frank H. Irish also managed the Coulter House at Frankfort, Ind., and the Higbie at Benton Harbor, Mich. He also ran a hotel at Hot Springs, Va., and managed the Annandale Countrv Club in Southern Cali-fornia.For the past ten years, or more, Mr. and Mrs. Irish have operated the Club House at Harbor Point, which is regarded as the most exclusive and highest class resort in Michigan. Both he and his wife, who has always been a helpmeet to him in every sense of the word, will be greatly missed at Harbor Pointby all the cottagers and patrons of [ that resort. • »t
