Donald Love, Seven Years Old, Hits Cap With Hammer and Causes Explosion, IS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL Barring Complications Injury Is Not Expected to Be Serious. Donald Love, 7T-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Love, of 1292 Washington street, is being treated at Mercy Hospital for an injury re sulting when he hit a dynamite cap with a hammer in order to explode it. An artery on the left side of his head was cut by the explosion and his face and hands were lacerated and powder-marked. Warring com plications, the injury is not serious. The accident occurred at 16 o'clock Monday morning back of the residence of Fred Utzig, at 1443 Maple street, where the boy was playing. He had left home to go to his grandfather, R. J. Love, at 94 Gandolfo street, to play. One of his boy's playmates gave the cap to Don ald. A physician was called on the case and the boy was taken to the hospital in the city ambulance.
