LOUIS, Mo., Sept. 7.—John B. Collins and Cora Clamorgan Collins, hiswife, whom he renounced when it was learned she had negro blood, are to be reunited. The suit which Owen L. Collins, his father, brought as his “next friend” to annul the marriage will be dismissed, and the war which has almost wrecked the two homes will be ended.This announcement was made, after John C. Higdon, attorney for Cora Clamorgan Collins, in her fight against theannulment proceedings, had received aletter from Louis P. Clamorgan, father ofMrs. Collins stating that a reconciliation had been effected.Couple Met In Secret.Collins and his wife have been meeting secretly, according to Higdon. Friends of the Clamorgan family who have not deserted them, say that CoraClamorgan Collins is happy once more.There is a sparkle in her eye and she walks with a' more buoyant step. She has recovered from the attack of rheumatism, which formerly made her slightly lame.Never since John Collins left the Clamorgan home, after telling her he believed she had a trace of negro blood, has Cora Clamorgan Collins given up the hope that her husband would return toher land their 3-months-old daughter,Louise. Even when the suit was filed to annul their marriage and leave her without support her faitn in the love of John Collins was steadfast.Her Love Unshaken.She repeatedly declared her love for him and refused to allow her father to bring a charge of wife abandonment against him or any damage suits against the Collins family. She was heard to say she would wait until John Collins was 21 years old and his own master, and, then, In spite of his renunciation, she was Certain he would return to her and marry her again if need be.It was Owen L. Coliins, father of John, who first heard the report that the Cla-morgans were negroes instead of descendants of Spanish grandees as they claimed. He told John Collins what he had learned and demanded that the marriage be annulled. John Collins obeyed, but Mrs. Collins said he vowed on the last day he spent with her that h6 wouldreturn.John B. Collins, then 19 years old, and Cora Clamorgan, scarcely 16, eloped to Hermann, Mo., and were secretly married Aug. 15, 1910. Then Collins claimedMrs. John B. Collins.his bride and they went to live at the Clamorgan home at 7122 Marie street. On June 9 last came the blow that socially ostracized the Clamorgan family.
