Obituary.Mrs. T. Blum quietly passed away Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fulmer, Her health had been failing for some time and death was not unexpected.Deceased was born in Germany February 8, 1829. She was married to Mr. Blum in the Fatherland in 1851 and emigrated to America in 1852. They first settled in Seneca county, Ohio In 1858 they came farther west, to Davis county, III, and in 1871 arrived in Eldora, where they have resided until the present time in peace and harmony with themselves and the world.Besides the bereaved husband six children are left to mourn the death of a mother: Robert, of Colorado; Geo. W., of New Jersey; ALL. of RadclilTe, Mrs. Katie Fulmer and Mrs. Nettie Buchanan, of Eldora,and Alias Frances of Mason City, the last four being present at the funeral. Deceased was one of the most kind and aft'ectionate of mothers, and was a devout Christian, having been a member of the Presbyterian church since 3859.Funeral services, conducted by Rev, Kent, were held Tuesday afternoonat the residence of Mrs. Fulmer.
