Last Wednesday eveniog Mr. and Mrs. Moses Haven left for their home in South Albion. When just outaido the city limits the horse they were driving suddenly plunged to one side, upsetting the buggy and precipitating them to the ground. By the fall two of Mr. Haven’s ribs were broken, and he was otherwise seriously injured. Mrs. Haven escaped harm. The horse continued up the road kicking as he went, until he Buoceeded in getting loose from the buggy, when he stopped. The buggy was a total wreck, Thos, Holmes and son were driving just a short distance in the rear and witnessed the accident. Mr. Holmes sent Mr. and Mrs. Haven home in his wagon and returned to the city for Dr. Palmeter. Mr. Haven is now quite comfortable and good nursing will bring him around all right in a few weeks. The horse was considered perfectly true and kind, and what frightened him or brought on the ugly freak on this occasion is among the mysteries.
