CIRCUIT COURT.The September term of the Warrick Circuit Court convened Monday, with Judge Handy presiding and S. B. Hatfield representing the State.The docket is not of large dimension, and does not embrace any cus:s of particular interest, either civil or criminal, and it is probable that the term will not last longer than the third week of the month.Monday and Tuesday were consumed in getting the Court in running order, and no business of interest was transacted.There are four prisoners in jail awaiting trial for criminal offenses as follows: Sam Garrett, attempt to commit rape; Elijah Dean, petit larceny ; Louis Huse, petit larceny. Below are the criminal cases disposed of up to this writing: Harry Brewis, assault snd battery, not guilty; Geo. Phillips, assault and battery, fined SI and cost; Mat. Phillips, assault and battery, fined SI and cost; John H. Phillips, carryingconeealed weapons* fined SI without cost. The last named is the fellow whom Sheriff Campbell had so much difficulty in arresting at Chandler, some time since mention
