5 Obituarj.Mr. David E. Lord, who has been acting in the capacity of bookkeeper for Messrs. Hurd Knowlton at the cutofffor over two years, died at his residenceon Webster street this morning at 5 o’clock, aged 66 years, after a week’s sickness. The funeral services were .held at the house, between Scott and Chicago streets, at 12 o,clock to-day. Rev. Mr. Reed, of Rockford, officiating, and the re-1uiains will be taken to Chicago on the 1:48 train. IMr. Lord was respected by all who I lt;knew him, and by his faithful attentionto business had made himself a valuable 1adjunct to the office in which he was en-1' gaged. h
