Hurralr for West Point.-—Haveyou heard from West Point? Good news from West Point. 'I’hc West Pointers had a city election on Saturday. The entire Republican ticket was elected by a handsome majority. John Whitbeck, the Republican candidate for Mayor, received a majority of 21 votes. Messrs. E. W.Massey.II, Anderson, II. Cole, G. Washington, and .Beverly Allen, the Republican candidates for council were elected by alike'handsome majority. Two years ago, the West Pointers elected a mixed ticket. Not so on Saturday. It was a fair and square contest between avowed Grant and Greeley men. This is a straw whichour Greeley friends will do well to consider. ---------
