»«♦•lt;-Our old friend and opponent for Confederate Congressional honor*, Judge Robert Leach man, in reply to the mo-, mentons inquiry, “which of the Republican parties in Mississippi are you with” —states that he thinks the “best interestsof Mississippi will be supported by the“Republican party that is in accord with “the Administration, and not with the fac-' ‘tion that seems so anxious to foist J udge “Dent on the jieople as a candidate for ‘♦Governor.” He might have found it a little difficult to have discovered substantial difference between the Platform of the National Republicans and the special message of the President on reconstruction wherein Congress was advised to reject the iniquitous plan of the Diafran-chisers, and to submit their proscriptiveconstitution to another vote of the people.The Judge it should be known, holds his office of Jndge of the 8th Judicial District by the grace of Ames; and be is entirely too sharp to fall out jrith bis bread and batter.
