ObituaryHomer CueJohn Homer, son of Join and Bertha Phillips Cue, was bomDecember 5, 1905, at Shellsburg.Iowa. At a young age he name with his family to live in the Randalia area. He received his education from the rural Randalia schools.On July 4, 1940, he was unted in marriage with Eila Otto at the Methodist Church parsonage in West Union. The couple was engaged in farming in this area until 1949 when Homer started working for the Fayette County Maintenance Department. Homer continued working for the county until his retirement in 1971. InNovember of 1985 lib enteiodâ– Maple Crest Manor. On Match It). 1987, Homer was baptis'd by Rev Mark Halverson and became a member of Grace Lutheian Church. His death occuned at Maple Crest Manor on Tuesday evening, August 30, 1988 He was82 years old.Homer is survived by Ins wife.Ella of Fayette; four sons, Donald of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, Ronald of Waverly, Arnie of Fayette, and Henry of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Jean (Ronald) Nading of Fayette and Mis. Wendy (Donald) Rohde of Marion; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great . grandchildren; one brother, Harold of Westgate; and four sisters, Mrs. Roxie (L.A.) Williams of Oelwein, Mrs. Nadah Hurd of Maynard, Mrs. Mabel Fox of Oelwein, and Mrs. Mardell (Gerald) Davis of Maynard.He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Jeffery Scott Nading; and three biothers,Ralph, Al and Harley.Funeral services weie held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 1988 at Grace Lutheran Chuich, Fayette, with burial in Grandview Cemetery, Fayette. Funeral arrangements were handled by Becket-Milnes Funeral Home.
