THE SABINA ADVERTISER SEPTEMBER 8, 197BBexley Musicians Entertaini ■ !imarchingThe Bexley High School Marching Bandand Lionettes, assisted by the vocal ensem -ble and orchestramembers, treated the citizens of Sabina to a parade and mini-concert on Thursday evening September 2, at seven o’clock.Rev. Albert R. Briggs of the Sabina Campground led the marchers on the mile-long route with counselors following at the end.Arrangements were made by Mrs. Jules Duga, Mrs. Lawrence Gordon, and Mrs.Richard McGuire of Bexley. Mayor Hodge and Chief John Colella were very helpful in coordinating the plans for this special performance.The Bexley High School musicians had been holding rehersals at the Sabina Campground last w eek to get ready for a busy fall schedule of performances at football games and at concerts under the leadership of band director Michael Jenks, orchestra conductor Robert Pforsich and ensembledirector Joel Mathias. Helping them throughout the week were Lionette Director Isabel Inglis, Majorette directdirector JaneGoleman Orchestra assistant Carol Simonetti, Assistant band director Dr. Jules Duga and aides Mike Mekaru, Jeff Schneider, Bill Whilock and Beth Wilcox.The Bexley youth appreciate the chance to bring their music to Sabina residents. They enjoyed their week at the campground andthe fine hospitality of Rev. and Mrs. Briggs. This was the fourth summer themusicians have attended their workshop at Sabina.
