Earlier start time announced for Monett racesMONETT — Races at the Monett Speedway will begin at 7 p.m. each Sunday instead of 8 p.m., it has been announced by Joe Davidson, promotor at the track,Davidson said that the starting time was changed due to children attending school and cooler weather setting in.Roger Chism of Springfield and Ken Essary of Crane are currently in a battle for the points lead. A field of over 50 cars will compete at the track each week.Davidson said that additional seating has been added to accomodate the overflow crowds which have been attending the races.
