Wm. S. Grover Dies Wed. In Peoria HospitalWilliam S. Grover, 62, for 21 years circuit clerk and recorder in Mason county, died suddenly Wednesday night at 8:30 o’clock at the St. Francis 'hospital in Peoria after a severe heart attack at his home in Havana earlier in the day. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance Wednesday afternoon.The widely known and popular public official was a native of Manito. He was born there on May 17, 1887, the son of Thomas and Amanda Barrick Grover. He is survived Iby his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Venters of Kewanee. Two 'brother, Fred of Dcatur and Frank of Pekin, also survive.Services will be held at the tllimmel-Russell funeral home Saturday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. (OST). Burial will be at Meadow Lawn cemetery at Manito. The Rev. Joseph Hobbs is to fbe in charge of the services.
