The initial meeting of Nancy McKay-Harsh chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolu tion for the season of 1928-29 will be Friday, September 14th when the organization will observe Constitu tion day. Miss Grace Harsh will be hostess and roll call will be answer ed with each member telling of her revolutionary ancestor. Mrs. Esther E. Hughes will give a paper on “The Constitution.” The organization, which regularly meets twice a month on Friday evenings has scheduled two after noon meetings for this year. The first October 12, “Old Settlers’ Day” will be observed with Mrs. E. D. Arnold hostess and the other, “Iona Day” April 12u, when Mrs. Lewis Grinnell will be hostess. Observe Fifith birthday. Among the events scheduled for the year is Anniversary day, No vember 9th with Dr. Lillie Wagoner hostess, at which time there will be a display of old shawls and the chapter will celebrate its fifth birth day. The annual Christmas party will be December 14th at the home of Mrs. Milton Peery and Mrs. A. S. Beatty will be hostess January 11th. A paper on old coverletts will be read at this meeting by Miss Maljory A. Hawley. Coronial day will be observed with a meeting, February 8th at the home of Mrs. George Bartle and Miss Josephine Mallory will be hostess on 10. A. R. day, March 8. The annual business meeting for the election of officers will be May 10th at the home of Mrs. H. C. Smith and the final meeting of the season will be Fing day, June 14th at the home of Miss Grace Carson, which will be observed in a patriotic manner, Mrs. Beatty Regent. Mrs. A. S. Beatty is regent of the D. A. R for the coming year; Mrs. Leonard Wolfe, vice-regent; Miss Marjorie Hawley, recording secre tary; Mrs. James O’Rourke, corre sponding secretary; Mrs. Merrill Moore treasurer; Miss Evelyn Boyd, registrar; Miss Grace Harsh, his torian; Miss Milton Peery, chaplain and Miss Josephine Mallory, cus todian. The South Hill Kensington met yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Margaret Erickson, on New York avenue, with Mrs. Dennis Howe, assistant hostess. During a short business meeting Mrs. John Dowdell was elected president and Mrs. Howe, secretary. At the close of the afternoon refreshments were served by the hostesses. Mrs. Walters Entertains. Members of the B. Y. club drove to Lenox last night and were enter tained by Mrs. Harry Walter. Five hundred furnished the en tertainment of the evening. The prizes were awarded to Mrs. Day Swanson and Mr. Dick Logue. Two course luncheon was served by the hostess. The next meeting will be held in two weeks with Mrs. Kenneth Crandall. Miss Ruth Kolb, niece of Mrs. J. G. Dorsey, who has been visiting here for about a month left today for her home in San Francisco, where she will enter school. Mrs. J. G. Dorsey will leave to night for Chicago to visit her bro ther, Dr. D. A. Buckner. She will be gone for a week or ten days. Miss Dorothy Readhead and mother, and Miss Ethel Seeley of Lenox were shopping here yester day.
