OBITUARYThe grim monster has come, with its sudden stroke, to our family and the neighborhood; and without warning, except by his slow creeping upon the human victim. He seized his prey in the bright morning when there seemed no evidence that he would do his dreaded work; however he took from our midst a kind and affectionate husband, father, and neighbor.Alton R. Wright, the youngest child of Amos and Delilah Wright, was born in Randolph county, February 27, 1874, when but a small boy his father passed away and he grew up under the loving tender care of a mother who instructed him in the way of truth and rightensness. As other boys with a lively, manly disposition, he went to school and received his education. ■ 'ff*i When near his thirteenth, birthdaf he was converted in a revival meeting held in the New Dayton church by Rev J. 0. I Bills. After a while when the I duties and pleasures of lifej crowded down upon him he neglected what had at one time been a real experience with God and lost the sweetness of this experience.
