Medal Contest*The silver medal contest on Tuesday night was a delightful occasion. The six young ladies who contested had worked hard, as they had selected and learned their pieces in one week. As one of the judges was heard to remark, “Each one should have had a medal,” but as there was but one medal, it was decided that Miss Sylvia King was entitled to it. All the contestants were the recipients of beautiful flowers. A double quartet of singers rendered appropriate music. Miss Mabel Germain played the violin, being accompanied on the organ by Miss Llt;ulu Dunbar, and Miss Cora King played a duet on the harmonica and guitar, which were very enjoyable. Such an eyening is of inestimable value to the young people who take part, as well as a pleasure to those who listen. The thanks of all are due Miss Page tor her faithful work with the class.
