North Carolina March 6, 1822. Ilis fatlier. Solomon Ader. wav a native of p. Virginia, and a son of Adam Ader, who HI wasanativeof Maryland and of Herman tf|’ ancestiy. His mother, Klizibeth Pickle Ader, was also of Herman ancestry. David came with his parents to this Stale in 1827 and they settled in Putnam county in the forest primeval of Ku*sell township in 1*2*. when that section was populated principally by rattlesnakes, wild animal and a sprinkling of Indians. Their first house was a pole cabin, 14 by 16 feet. The pioneer wlm now lies cold in death grew to manhood amid the usual frontier experiences—hard and constant toil. On January 9.184a, he married Miss Kliza-beth Aldridge. To (bis union were born two children—Nathan W. and Helen K. Mrs. Ader died hi 1854 and about a year later Mr. Ader married Mrs. Belinda C. Buchanan, who survives him. They were blessed with four children, two of whom are living —Alice B. Davis, of Carpenters-ville, and Francis D. Ader. of Hreencastle.The deceased was a member of I be Cumberland Presbyterian church. He began life with nothing ami by good man* Htfemeiir, economy and great industry accumulated a large fortune, uwiftng about 3,000 acres of good laud besides other pro-perty.
