estimated at coverea uyThe late Mbs. Shaw.—Mrs* Ann Shaw who died on Friday evening, lab mat., wai tk daughter of Mr. W. Wuaon, , county Fermanagh, Ireland, where Mra. Shaw wai born 61 yean ago. Coming to Canada in 1865 ahe waa shortly afterwards united in marriage with Mr, James Shaw in Port Hope, who died fifteen months ago. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs.Shaw resided in Bowmanville and Bethany,coming to the township of Ops seventeen yean ago, where they resided until death the great leveller olaimed both. Mrs, Shaw had been in fairly good health, although subject to an internal trouble. She was in town the day previous to her death, and paid a visit to the cemetery to see the grave of her late husband, coming home she took ill during the night, and notwithstanding all that medical aid could do she died after an illness of twenty houn. The funeral took place to St. Paul's church, thence to Riverside cemetery Four boys and six girls are left to mourn the loss of a kind mother and affectionate parent. Two of the boys and one girl are married, the latter being Mrs. John Glad man of Orillia. What is something remarkable is, all the family were home the Monday previous to her death, little thinking they would so soon have to meet again on so melancholy an occasion.
