Topp was then called upon to meddress the Convention. The General responded in his usual happy and eloquent naner, re viewing the action of the Convention, co plimenting it upon its wise notion, and the admirable ticket presented by it. MWe ex horted the members to increased exertion in the good cause, and upon the encouraging prospects of the campaign, he inspirited his hearers with the true feelings of confidence in the Justice of the cause, and determination to work earnestly for the success of the Shire and County Tickets, .
